“ ‘Moss’ is the perfect reminder for us to appreciate solitude and find joy and inspiration in the prospect of having ‘nothing to do’.”

An Indie-Rock anthem for the Indie-Rock purists among us- Calm Canopy’s latest single ‘Moss’ is an invitation to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Written in a flurry of creative inspiration, ‘Moss’ in many ways is the proof that many of us need, to remove digital distractions and allow ourselves to fall back into natural circadian rhythms. Somewhat scatty and hectic percussion, carries the jangling lead guitar hooks and silver-tongued vocals that rush over the track, all of which really add to this sense of instinctive and spontaneous creativity that can flourish in the absence of modern digital conveniences. At the end of a tumultuous year, where these conveniences have certainly gotten the better of many of us, ‘Moss’ is the perfect reminder for us to appreciate solitude and find joy and inspiration in the prospect of having ‘nothing to do’.
