Dance the night away with Cassicus’ future-pop bop “Right To You”.
Back from a COVID-induced hiatus, Ben Scott – aka Cassicus – is ready to build up on the success of his debut single “Torn” with another electrifying track, “Right To You”. Having garnered praise from BBC Introducing, this ex touring drummer continues to deliver bright, danceable tracks with a strong beat and a palpably vivacious energy.
Setting a jubilant mood from the very first chord, “Right To You” combines 80s exuberance with the freshness of modern electronica, concocting an eclectic mix that shines and sparkles like neon sunshine. Written as a tribute to his fiancé, this love-song-meets-anthem is a celebration of love and resilience in difficult times and an uplifting bop for the brighter days ahead. In a way, “Right To You” is a backwards track, with more vocals present at the beginning and an instrumental section dominating the end – a sort of invitation for us to let go and groove out to the soaring saxophone solo that concludes this future-pop extravaganza.
Nothing is too complicated when you are listening to a track as purely joyful and riotously bubbly as “Right To You” – you just can’t help but smile and indulge.
